http://democracynow.org - For response to Tuesday’s primary, we go to Manchester, New Hampshire, to speak with Arnie Arnesen, longtime radio and TV host in New Hampshire. She was the Democratic nominee for governor in 1992. Arnesen has known both Sanders and Clinton for about 25 years.

What are you taking about?

We were discussing independents..... who didn't vote for Hillary. The antecedent of "they" is "independents". anyway that's the way I read it.
As usual, independents will make a difference.

That is the norm. Independents are by definition not part of the Democratic party.

among African American voters.

White men and women both voted for Romney. Obama was able to overcome that because of his strong support among minorities.

No Democrat should take the votes of those communities for granted.

Establishment telling the anti-Establishment voters how to think seems to be backfiring in both parties. Look at Jeb Bush/Marco Rubio/Chris Christie compared to Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.
