Honestly, tonight was great for us. Here's why...

It snapped us out of the poll watching, we got this in the bag mentality. Don't lie, many of you, myself included felt that way.

Now it's time to get to work. Any complacency should have been eliminated tonight. This will be a dogfight the rest of the way and if you think we can lay back and not do anything to ensure we win this, you're delusional.

My take on tonight: Romney won on optics and points. Flat out.

Don't lie to yourself. You hurt Obama and Democrats by doing so. We lost tonight. Yeah yeah Romney lied and got away with murder. That's the whole point. Obama did not take advantage of this tonight. That alone means he lost. The fact he didn't use the 47% tape at ALL was political malpractice. You will see this as the conventional wisdom tomorrow.

I don't think it changes race entirely but if Obama has same performance tonight in next two debates, he will lose and deserve to.

Romney offered many softballs that should have been SMASHED by Obama. SMASHED. I MEAN SMASHED. I MEAN OUT OF THE PARK DESTROYED. Even taking advantage of one of these moments would have turned the debate around. He didn't at all. I think he still thinks he has to toe the fine line he walked in 2008 to not come off as too angry. He's past that point. He could have shown some fire and lumped Romney in with the Romney from the 47% tape.

Now is not the time to panic or overreact. I suspect polls will move a bit but not by much and the bottom line is Romney is still unlikeable overall, but Obama gave him and the Republicans ammo tonight. That's on him. Now it's on us to make sure the ground game which we have the HUGE advantage in actually comes to fruition.

Many of you will disagree with this analysis but be honest with yourselves. Tonight was not a good night for Obama but a great night for motivating the base to do what' s necessary to win this.

He was pushy and rude, very unpresidential. Americans do not like shrill people. .

I was horrified at the whole debate. Unfortunately, or not, president Obama is not able to lie. Jim Lehrer did not do his job tonight. We all know that this is how the republicans have created this mess were in. Tell lies and bully everyone into swallowing them without a fight. I think the president can still pull out of it, but romney actually looked like he would come unhinged if president Obama pushed much harder on the lies and change of plan.. This is only 1 win by lying and bullying for romney compared to months of president Obama leading with honesty.
