2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumObama is dominating 7-Eleven's 7-Election promotion (62% to 39%):
Picture is just to illustrate what the promotion is. Basically there is a kiosk where you can choose a cup representing 'your' candidate for coffee.

(Note: the site is wonky for me here so if the numbers aren't showing click around on the states and they'll go up.)
Just thought it was cute. I realize that 7-Eleven isn't exactly Romney's demographic.

OP
But it leaves out lots of red states, so it hardly seems like it could mean much.

There are so many more Romney cups than Obama cups, they must be skewing towards Romney!

(89,247 posts)1. 7-11 in 2004 was Bush 51 and Kerry 49, so they are pretty accurate
the numbers this year are similar to 2008. the 2004 numbers were similar to 2000.
this and the halloween mask sales make me feel more confident than those other news polls.

So, it evens out. I doubt Obama is going to win 60-40 ... but he's winning and winning in the states both candidates need to win to win the presidency - Ohio (55-45), Florida (57-43), Virginia (59-41), North Carolina (52-48), Colorado (62-38) and Nevada (63-37). The fact is, it's as good of an indicator as any ... since they were right on in 2000, 2004 and 2008.

It also ended up leaving a brown liquid streak down the back window.

(3,072 posts)6. The 7-11 polls are skewed by the liberal convince store owners
Romney is actually up by 30 points when you unskew those cups

(3,072 posts)7. If 7-11 wants i will take the unused romney cups
I will bring them to my hospital and they can be used as disposable bedpans
