Romney campaign pouncing on Biden gaffe

<Snip>

Vice President Biden said Tuesday that the middle class has been “buried” for the last four years.

Biden made the remark at a campaign rally while arguing that Republicans would raise taxes on the middle class. He said the tax hike would be especially bad given what the middle class has been through over the last four years.

to study the every word of the opponent looking for something to attack them over, but the Romney campaign seems to have elevated this to a new level since they can't get any traction on anything else.

Waste of time. Can't wait until after the election so we can go back to fighting over the other usual stuff. Sheesh.

I don't see anything wrong with acknowledging that people have had a hard time since W, the neocons, and the capitalist pigs destroyed modern civilization. To imply that means that Obama' policies made things worse and not better is a pile of horse shit. We are not falling for that again.

Too bad it isn't going to work. What Biden said is true, we have been buried the past 4 years as a result of Bush's 8 years of idiocy, and Republican obstructionism. We've been digging out though and need to continue. Romney would bury us so far down we can't ever dig out.

It most likely will come back at Biden during the VP debate and he will be prepared for it. Meanwhile it is about to be washed away by the hard news cycle of the first Presidential debate. Romney doesn't need a gaffe by Biden to make his claims about bhe economy, and Obama will be ready for him.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know this is another quote taken out of context but THIS IS WHAT THEY DO FOR A LIVING. Look at how much hay they made out of the you didn't build that bullshit. It actually hurt Obama enough to have him do a face to face ad with the camera. They still run with that shit.

I expect Romney to use this in the debate tomorrow and Obama will be forced to address it. That's why this is a gaffe. It causes the campaign to waste time explaining shit away. He needs to understand that he's his own worst enemy at times, especially if he has any ambitions for 2016.

You just can't say shit like that.

Biden has some good qualities, but it's obvious that he is not an ideal campaigner or politician.

He got only single digits the previous times he ran for President, and he would also be the oldest nominee to run for President if he ran in 2016.

If Hillary runs, there is no way Biden will have any chance.

His man job should be to continue to support the President, but this is the 2nd time this year he has done something like this. He has trouble articulating his words.

Why does he have such trouble watching what he says?

He even let slip in advance that the President was planning to endorse gay marriage. And while that worked out, he altered the President's timetable for doing so.

What is the matter with him?

Now I can believe the quote Mark Halperin attributed to Obama in his book about the 2008 election - Obama is quoted as saying something like, "Doesn't this guy ever stop making gaffes?"

Paul Ryan's 30% and Mitt Romney's 47%....that is stuff that actually sticks. Obviously we know what Biden meant.

Also, a lot of politicians today are so ultra controlled as to be inhuman and every move is polled to death with focus groups. Then you become Mitt Romney. Very plastic and very insincere. I don't know if he has a real bone in his body. I would take Joe any day, "gaffes" and all over someone like that.

He should just prepare for the V.P. debate and make that his priority.

He should have been very careful after what happened last month with the 'chains' comment. Yes, it was taken out of context and he was referring to the imprisonment of the middle class by Wall Street, not African Americans, but still. He should have known to be extra careful this time.

I'm running out of patience. I can see why he got single digits when he ran against Obama & Hillary in 2008.

I'm not gonna worry too much about this...looks like Ryan's tape is all over the news more then Joe's comments.
