Why burden Hillary with him - if the goal is Hispanic there are many better choices.

What do you think he adds?

We have an important election and then mid-terms in 2 years. Between now and then we need to build a solid majority in Congress to prevent the Republican Obstructionist Teaparty (ROT) from stopping legislation.

Equally important election.

Just kidding you.

Let's see who runs in about three years or so. Then, we can align with our favorites and start throwing chairs at one another again here at DU.

More and more, politics is sport.

Go Tigers! Go Sydney Swans!

Instead of members of our city council or state Senate or state Assembly spending their terms trying to organize their run for re-election, they spend their terms trying to figure out what office they can run for next and raising the money and forming the political connections for the next big jump.

In addition, with the term limits, you get too many novices just trying to learn their jobs.

What we need instead is a constitutional amendment that will prohibit corporate funding of campaigns. Lobbying should be limited to education and informational exchange and not fundraising for campaigns or gifts or other such perks for politicians.

Term limits just further detach the politicians from the people, and it makes the "permanent campaign" worse.

You need someone who will be at most 62 in 2016. Better if the candidate will be in his 50s, even late 40s in 2016.

Someone like Xavier Becerra.

Xavier Becerra (/hɑːviˈɛər bɨˈsɛrə/ hah-vee-AIR; born January 26, 1958) is the U.S. Representative for California's 31st congressional district, serving since 2003. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The district is based in Los Angeles.

I think that he is second to Pelosi in the House -- brilliant, nice guy, communicates well, Catholic and religious and all round really good potential candidate in my opinion.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

As an alternative I'd consider: Bill (the cat)/Opus 2016, but I think they're both "dead" now.
