The GOP primary is not about jobs now; it's birth control. Santorum takes 4 states out of 7

running on the anti-birth control issue. With the health care coverage issue, it's blown up to be the main campaign issue now. Who would have dreamed this? It's wild.

they resort to wedge issues. the idea that birth control and "religious oppression" is the big thin being discussed in run up to Super Duper Tuesday is going to be hilarious.

They are the Party of No. We'll see how the bottom 90% like their ideas on this non-issue.

issue so that the sum for several such issues plus a die hard core constituency will elect a presidential candidate.

The result can be a crazy quilt of disparate voters that elect someone and a truculent mix of those on opposite polarizing issues and disenfranchised voters.

Isn't that why in the last presidential election a candidate who was previously anti-gun publicly pledged "I believe in the Second Amendment. I believe in people's lawful right to bear arms. I will not take your shotgun away. I will not take your rifle away. I won't take your handgun away. .. There are some common-sense gun safety laws that I believe in. But I am not going to take your guns away."

Isn't that pandering to a special interest group and compromising previous positions just for the vote?

Maybe democrats should pool all our resources and support Santorumski. Wouldn't that be a hoot if he actually WON the repub nomination !! I mean...the possibilities are endless..

If Santorumski looses he would quietly crawl off from whence he came.

BUT--if he actually WON..
Can you imagine Rmoney's and Gingrich's heads exploding if that happened. They would go bezerk.

I know, trolls, I can't spell that one. But I CAN spell Ottorino Respighi. :&gt )

that's where Santorum is concentrating on now. One of Romney's home states. But I presume Mittens will spend lucratively in Michigan to avoid embarrassment.
