16. Must have heard that order from Guile: "Go Home And Be a Family Man!"

A little Street Fighter II humor there.
A gamer's joke.
Ask your kids.

28. What's this "gamer" that you speak of.

Does it involve the ether frolics?

Videogame joke.
Street Fighter II by Capcom (1991).

A character on the game named Guile, a U.S. Special Forces dude with a tall flattop.
When you won with him, he would say the line "Go home and be a family man!"

Like this see?

No ether involved. Just a lot of Sonic Booms & Flash Kicks!

30. I see symbols here, apparently organized in such a way intended to convey meaning

but does not compute.

4. LOL. Couldn't he have waited to announce that?

Last edited Thu Sep 20, 2012, 09:15 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1)

It's bad enough for a Campaign Co-Chair to pack it in 6 weeks before the election, but to take a lobbying job right away on top of that?

Makes the outgoing head of the Romney campaign look incompetent AND corrupt in one announcement.

I don't blame him though. Who wants to be stuck working for Rombot?

6. So that's who has been repeatedly backing the ship...

...into the iceberg.

Seriously. I wondered who was running this thing.

Tim Pawlenty. Really? He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who could run a campaign. Has he ever had any experience in doing so?

7. He's a loser even in his own state

I couldn't believe it when people thought he was being considered for V.P.

As Nate Silver said at the time, Pawlenty has terrible approval ratings in his OWN STATE of Minnesota. He is disliked there and Nate said Obama's numbers would have even gone up in MN if Pawlenty had been chosen.

And I believe the Minnesota Supreme Court recently struck down one of his former budget cuts as unconstitutional or something.

21. Maybe having that bridge fall down had something to do with the bad

feelings that MN folks feel for the guy...

24. Oh yeah. And his smirking announcements of MNDOT cuts before the collapse.

And how he cut funding for protection of abused children. And how he cut funding for healthcare for the poor. The guy is a complete horse's ass.
