This app (which I am affiliated with in absolutely no way whatsoever) allows you to watch Chinese, Korean, and Japanese television stations, ad-free (well, except normal tv commercials obviously!), free of charge. I've heard but have not personally verified that if you use a VPN, other nations channels become available based on the VPN location, someone else would have to try that if they were so inclined.

This app works perfectly on Windows 10. I have not tested the smartphone versions, but I know of others who have.
