Incidentally, 19 people liked Chris Dunn's post within a few minutes. Many more Christians are posting equally vicious and hateful comments on the FOX News FB Page. Though they're being taken down almost as fast as they're being put up, they are being saved for posterity by friends of American Atheists who have quick trigger fingers for the "Screenshot" button.

and their Binkie helps them feel safe and secure no matter what is happening around them in the real world. Threaten their Binkie by saying you don't need one, thanks, and they get all bent out of shape and go for your throat because you're threatening their overall safety on a visceral level.

Are they all nuts? Not really, most of them have compartmentalized the Binkie away from the real life stuff and are reasonably competent at their jobs and in life in general. However, they'll always be deeply threatened by people without Binkies because that means somebody might eventually expect them to do with out their own.
