How many really deeply believing religious folks...Last edited Sat Apr 14, 2012, 05:04 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
actually post in the religion forum? Four? Five? Six?
Seems to me that I see more posts from agnostics and openly atheist thinkers over there than I do see an actual discussion of religion. Not that I am complaining, I'm merely coming to this conclusion after a few weeks of viewing and posting there. By the way, the only threads over there which I really like, posted by the deeply believing religious folks are the ones where there's some nice music to play on my computer. See? I'm not totally biased, am I?

There are nine safe haven groups for believers to extol the virtues of religion without having to deal with different points of view, so they'll get no sympathy from me if they can't handle people asking them how they know what they claim to know in a group designed for that exact discussion.

The only believers left are the ones trying to prove the unproveable. Oh yeah, and one who wants to build a political power base. |

4. Are we talking about a base that possibly involves nepotism?

(Excuse me, I got a headache. I need a Tylenol. Not Aspirin. I hate Aspirin.)

just singular ambition and self promotion. Both are traits that are considered laudable and in fact, are necessary for success in our culture. I could learn some valuable lessons in that respect. Most social reforms can only be achieved if people with a measure of chutzpah push for them.
