I don't think she just walked up and started yelling at him, she was coached and encouraged by adults.

I was a very early reader and a compulsive reader. I'd read the labels on cleaning products and Kleenex boxes if I got stuck in the bathroom when my mother had been successful in pouring milk down my throat.

I'd have read it and filed it away for later. I did that a lot when I was little.
