I dunno.

When discussing mythology, the more interesting aspects are not what the mythological characters actually do and the "plot" of the whole thing, but the WHY of what it is that is interesting.

Why would humans create a myth about hell? Why does it mirror events....common events like envious rivals with power and government and war .... that humans do, just with a bunch of magic thrown in? How does where these myth makers live affect the myth. Y'know, stuff like that. It's much more interesting than proving believers wrong. I mean, it's just not very interesting talking to true believers about this stuff.

I think what she meant when she said we send ourselves to hell isn't that gawd doesn't do it but that it's our fault he does and that we have it coming for not believing in and worshipping him.

I almost couldn't listen to it all. gah!
