This is important on so many levels. What does it say about the appearance of piety? What does it say about the motivation to worship? What does it say about freedom of religion? What does it say about the actual beneficiary of church service?

(9,356 posts)About mistaking one kind of canine behavior for another kind.
A man and his little boy are out for a walk one day, and they come upon two dogs enthusiastically copulating.
"Dad, what are those dogs doing?"
"Well, son...uh...the dog on top is sick. And the dog on the bottom is carrying him to the doctor!"
"Wow, Dad. So dogs are just like people, huh?"
"How's that, son?"
"Try to help somebody out and they'll fuck you every time."

(4,549 posts)At least he's not molesting children, picketing soldiers' funerals or trying to legislate morality. As long as he's not hurting the dog or anyone else, he can knock himself the fuck out. Teach a parakeet to say the rosary. Put a chimpanzee on roller skates and have him do the stations of the cross. Put on a production of Godspell with a cast consisting entirely of neighborhood cats and that raccoon that got into the tool shed. If it keeps him busy and keeps his religion out of my business, I'm all for it.
