Sundays on FB

So every Sunday my FB TL is filled with my family and friends posting predictable Quotes from the Bible about god's goodness. Complete with a graphic image of stars rainbows, and bunnies

Next Sunday I will flood their timeline with Scriptures about Jesus being Ok with Slavery, and God commanding his people to kill everyone even Children and infants. I will include the corresponding graphic images.

I wonder how many "likes" I will get?

but I bet that you'll be "unfriended" by many if it makes you feel better.

With fitting graphics, of course. Maybe as a motivational poster. You never know, it might brighten up their Sunday.

How do I internet search for pictures of a horse cumming, and stay under the NSA Radar?

I was afraid of what manner of lists a google search for "donkey penis + horse semen" would put me on, both for advertising and law enforcement.

The "sex" link of the Skeptic's Annotated Bible. While there, you can also find lots of good stuff in the "cruelty" and "absurdity" links.

http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/sex/long.html

And as a personal favor, try to work in my favorite Babble story about that most godly man, Lot. Who first offered up his two daughters for gang-rape, then got drunk and boinked both of them himself in a cave.

(That story seems to have been a Bronze Age ethnic joke, BTW. The rest of the story says Lot's daughters gave birth to children who founded 2 rival tribes to the Israelites. Those tribes occupied land coveted by the Chosen People, but for some obscure reason Gawd wouldn't them do the usual - massacre the inhabitants and take the land. Hence the story that those tribes owed their existence to a drunken act of incest. End of Sunday School lesson...)

Heh! Your "horse" question reminds me of a woman on Usenet years ago. Just to annoy censors and bluenoses, she used to post messages with the Subject header: "PHOTO OF KIDS FUCKING!" The attached photo showed goats having sex. If she tried that nowadays, she'd probably end up in Gitmo.

And there was a nearby town they could have found some men in.

Funny you mention that story I was just re-reading it the other day. I watch a lot of Atheist Cartoons on Youtube and saw one from I think DarkMatter 2525 about the story of Lot

I had to re-read because there was one part ofthe story I never took note of. the story says ALL the men in the Town wanted to sleep with the Angels. but when the angels decided to destroy the town, they allowed LOT to go to his two son in laws and asked them to flee with him and his family.

So obviously not ALL the men were sex crazed maniacs, that needed to be burnt to a crisp.

I think do a search for a photo of an old Drunk guy and two hot chicks and then Add the Quote about the cave incest.
And a radio, playing the song "Let's get on"

I usually lose one two during the Presidental Election season.

But I don't get in to the Practice of unfriending I think it's stupid. And I don't have a problem with someone saying something I don't agree with. I just wish I had the same right.

I mean they can freely push there god meme on everyone, but If I were to do the opposite you are right some people would respond negatively. It is hardly fair

You said a mouthful there. It isn't fair, and it amazes me that these people do not see it that way. But I don't see any changes in the near future....the religious people are just getting more and more defensive as we have become more open about our opinions on religion. It is turning ugly, and it is not on our end. As long as we STFU, they are content. Maybe they just don't want to know that they have a friend or family member who doesn't appreciate the slop that they are posting.

As to unfriending, I have not done it either, but I have resorted to hiding one person's posts so that I don't have to see them. I will say that FB has changed my opinions of a few people who I had always liked, but never discussed politics or religion with. Now that I know how hateful they are, I can't stand them.

All it takes is a few innocent questions like
"How could there be light before the sun?"
"How was plants and trees possible without the sun, when today we know plants rely on the sun for life?"

Those two questions caused my mother to tell me, "I don't know about the bible, and I refuse to understand the will of jehovah!" Then she gave the apologist anwser "And or, maybe Jehovah didn't feel it was important to explain every little detail of how he created everything."

I responded, "Sooo, Magic!"

She said, "I have to go, love you" and hung up.

Refuse to understand. Refuse to think. Refuse to question.

Ho boy.

I sympathize with you having your mother and other family members being so rigid. I empathize, but I really don't know how hard it must be.

16. Thanks it's ok, it has been like this my entire life

At least now that I am older, I can't be forced to go to the Kingdom Hall, read books that make no sense whatsoever.

the biggest thing that sucks is how much this made up religion and this phony magical non existence being effect my relationship with my mother. I don't even know what kind of person she would be, or what advice she would actually give without having the JW doctrine filling her head. She was in her 30ties when she converted to the religion, she had a lifetime of experience to impart wisdom upon me, on how to handle situations with friends, boyfriends, school problems.

But instead all I ever got out of her was what Jehovah would do. I use to beg her, can you just speak to me painly without quoting the society?? Anyway, I am over that. it was a long time ago, and she will never change.

Fortunately I have an incredible husband and two Awesome little boys, and I have learned to except her as she is. Whatever she is LOL
