this whole tragedy that was Sandy happened within 2000 sq miles, a distance 200 by 10 miles, between NJ and CT.

4. I live near Philadelphia

we came through fairly well- some trees down, but the nearby creek did not overflow and power was only out for a few hours.

I used to live in Sea Isle City NJ, about 20 miles south of Atlantic City (Exit 17). The house I lived in there was washed away... they got hit bad.

Didn't affect us much, except basement leaked a bit from too much rain. Neighbor lost half his screens to wind, but suspect he didn't put them in properly after cleaning his windows last month.
