Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

Monday was the feast day of St. Januarius. He is famed for one of the most reliable miracles

in Christendom, which repeats twice a year on demand. A vial of his blood liquefies after it is prayed to and moved about, usually.

Quite the miracle. Doesn't sound like a magic trick at all.

If this actually was blood, one would have to give extraordinary credence, no? Wouldn't that strengthen the faith? No? A saint's DNA. Goodness me.

Show us the blood, Catholic Church.
