Terengganu's sole Catholic priest dies of heart attack

PETALING JAYA: Thousands of people paid their last respects to Terengganu’s sole Catholic priest Rev Father Phillips Muthu (pic) who died of a heart attack on Saturday night.

Rev Phillips, 56, was in charge of the Catholic Missions in Kuala Terengganu and Dungun, and the St Philip Minh chapel in Chukai.

He was in Chukai when he collapsed at a clinic after being rushed there by church members.

Paul Maniam, 60, who is based in Kuala Terengganu, was among those who attended yesterday’s mass at St Philip Minh chapel before Rev Phillip’s body was taken to his hometown in Rawang.
