I thought it would be good to bring it back, and see everyone's blogs in one place

so maybe this will get me started.

Have you ever heard of Susan Bernstein and her site Work From Within? It's in the same vein

Mainly I have a photography blog, and in the photography group I decided to collect everyone's blogs and web pages and put them in a single post and pin them to the top of the group. Maybe we could do that here.

I gathered up one (only) website having to do with photography from anyone in the Photography Group, or anyone else in DU that has a photography website and wanted it included. I made one post that I closed to replies and pinned it at the top of our page. I will change the post anytime anyone wants to be added.

Come to think of it, I might post in GD to see if anyone else has a photography website they want in the post.

We could do the same thing here--anyone with a website having to do with ASAH, and we could pin it. Some might be commercial, and some not. For the photography group, I just mixed them up. If we did that here I would probably put in my YouTube channel.

I forget who the hosts are here. They would have to buy into the concept, along with everyone else. What does everyone think?

and having that record, so we could do that in addition to this thread. Why, additionally? Well, because I want to use this thread as a means of knowing when people update their blogs, too. Unless you personally subscribe to a person's blog, you don't always know when they have made a new post to it, unless you check regularly.

I do like having a pinned thread that compiles all blogs. I'd just also like this one kept around for the most up-to-date info being posted, too

Having them listed and pinned would remind me to check.

I actually think we could have the Holiday thread unpinned now, LOL. But it isn't as if I am volunteering to be Host!

so maybe they will chime in and let us know what they think of this idea

I have three beautiful hand painted silk pillows for sale on there.

Also pictures of my gothic bungalow house, which we painted blue. Immediately the gossip at the hardware store was, "Buncha Messicans musta moved in there!".

everybody else in town has brown, beige or white houses. No imagination.

You can also admire my big, honkin', gnarly porchlights I got at Lighting Incorporated in Houston. They are two feet tall!!

we have wild insect sex on the windows. Mosquito hawks getting it on, facing away from each other.

You stretch your silk on stretcher bars. draw lines with gutta percha (kinda like mucilage).
Then paint with the water based dye between the lines. Let it dry, then iron it between newsprint to set the colors. It is transparent, not opaque like regular fabric paint. The colors are quite vivid.

Great color scheme and very attractive page. I've had some thoughts, too, about those of us who have been preparing eventually being in a position of the 'calm ones' as things continue to wind/unwind. People who have just been blowing off everything we've shared will come back later for help.
