The HUGE blow to Romney comes the 7th and 8th,
that's when Mars squares his transiting Neptune sitting atop his chart which is squaring his ascendant
can you say kaboom!!? Mars will be at 0 Sagittarius squaring Neptune for ALL OF US, but for him, it's already set up squaring his personal ascendant. That means that (Neptune his Piscean ruler) has BEEN TRYING TO TELL HIM TO COOL IT AND GET REAL. WELL.... So, Mars will be hitting his chart from the 7th house, the house of OPEN ENEMIES, or ones you know who are against you. Here comes a great big uppercut He created the whole mess, it's his karma, as well as the party of the long trunks. It will "change his role in public forever after"

1. Hmmmmm....

Well those dates are 3 or 4 days after the first debate on this Wednesday. I feel he is "losing it" mentally...I'm almost afraid to watch to see what he says or does. I have a feeling it's not going to be pretty. And btw, who has to memorize "zingers" in a debate?? What if his program gets mixed up and he says the wrong zinger at the wrong time?? How embarrassing that would be. I think he's going to crack under the pressure soon.
I keep getting a message about "integrity" and how absolutely nothing can exist now that doesn't have that at it's root. I know that has been important for a couple of years now. But the way I'm getting it is that NOTHING can exist anymore that isn't based in integrity. There is NO foundation for it now. And you're right, he is the embodiment of the entire party and they are all going down in flames it seems. It's like they just can't help themselves! |

|
Ann Romney said that she worried about his mental health. That could have some deep meaning. Either his campaign is being run by completely inept and tone deaf people or he is a micromanaging failure. But everything they've tried has backfired.
"Open Enemies" - Now does someone have access to his tax returns? Maybe Senator Reed? I'm convinced Harry Reed has some sources, maybe that's the time that the real "October surprize" is laid down on ol' Willard. He's definitely stepped on some people on the way up who would mind pissing in his Wheaties. |

12. Romney is now married to his lies. Obama gave him all the rope he needs to hang himself.
|
The Mittster is now on record with multiple lies. Today, even if they want to say Romney "won", the media is, in fact, reporting on the lies and misspeaks of last night. Romney's own people were backpedaling last night immediately AFTER the debate. They have more debates coming up and the lies and extreme positions are all fair game from here on out.
I realize everybody wanted to see Obama kick Romney in the nuts and then stomp him while he was down, but that is not and never has been Obama's style. Yes, he wants to be "liked" but he also is very calculated with his campaigns. I have every belief that last night went EXACTLY as planned. Seriously. Obama did not give up anything. Laura |

Yes, Obama is above all a thinker and a planner. The news coverage focus of this debate is all wrong. It should be on how r-money pulled an about-face and presented new positions. No one is paying any attention to that! It is so bizarre. Now, some people are calling what romney said "lies," but I am not sure that is true. I guess it is if his web site still says his position is one thing and what he said on TV is another, then he lied. I am thinking that because of Romney's long streak of disasters, he felt he had to change his positions, which he did--but on national TV in a debate with the president! Not really the place to do this! I am so thoroughly disgusted with the news media for jumping on the bandwagon and magnifying this erroneous impression of what happened in that debate. It must be hard to be President Obama right now and to have to live with this nonsense.

The rest of the world is beginning to take notice of what other DU'ers, me included, have been harping about since debate night:
The article says the "lies and half truths he told are being dissected." Even Team Romney had to correct the candidate on health care immediately after the debate. As I predicted earlier this week, Romney had an October Surprise planned for the President – new policy ideas. But I had no idea that Romney would just lie about everything he had said over the past year and a half. As the President said, Mitt Romney’s bright new idea is: Never Mind! I knew this would come back to bite him in the butt. Yeah!!!

30. tack to center
|
Everybody expected Romney to tack to the center immediately after the primaries. Instead, he continued hard right, courting the tea partiers who hate him. Maybe he figured that over summer, all but the most political are on vacation and not paying attention.
And then, in the first big televised event around the elections, there he is tacking hard center (except when he made the incredible tactical blunder of planning to fire host Jim Lehrer and the iconic Big Bird). Also throwing everything including the kitchen sink, trying to bury Obama in a series of contradictions and lure him into a "did so, did not" waste of time. Instead, Obama stayed on message and apparently got his view for the country through the 3 ring circus to his right. My biggest concern was that the President seem very, very tired. Hopefully got some good rest after.... Well, Romney's tiny bump in the polls will cost him severely over the long haul, while simultaneously will lure the big bucks back his way, where they will be wasted instead of them flowing down-ticket. And other than his plan to kill Big Bird, all eyes have already turned to the jobs report, and the GOP is freaking out over that one. Bottom line is it will prove a win for Obama. |

Last edited Fri Oct 5, 2012, 06:06 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) to lift a bogus Order of Protection his Ex filed. She has a long history of lies and false charges against him and others. I am worried for him. She is trying to take his house by force of the courts. They have been divorced for over 6 years. I am only worried because our court system is not a justice system. She has a 2 yo (who does not belong to my brother), no job or job history so no means of support and I'm afraid the court will use that as a pretext to force my brother to lose control of his property. His kids (teenagers) are staying w/my sister as they are not safe there either (she calls the police on them w/false charges too). She is claiming they are still married etc. She has been staying there since June (yes, he is an idiot). He plans to initiate eviction proceedings right after court so will still be unable to live in his home with his kids safely until the 30 days pass.
My brother's dob is 8 May 1968. |

And even if he had notes, nobody in the main stream is going to care enough for it to be an issue. I mean, less than half the country seemed to care that the last president stole an election and started an illegal war. Bringing notes to a debate won't come close to 'huge' by today's standards. |

Increase military spending on war, while cutting spending on veterans, Medicare, SS and firing Big Bird.
I don't think that will go ver well with most people. Unless he does another double back and is talking this week about arming Syrian rebels, and then goes back on it in the debate. Post-debate from 10/4-10/6 averaged 47-47. Today's weekly rolling is back to 50-45. To bring the average that far up implies that Sunday, 10/7 was 59-49. Hard to believe but that would sure be a major major blow to Romney! |

82. Telling employees how to vote--that cannot sit right with anybody!
|
I can't imagine that anybody is gonna be ok with having the boss tell you how you should vote. I've had it happen in my own life--but my job is political so I am not amazed by it. As it was, the one time they sent somebody in to my office to try and lean on me for an endorsement I got a wee bit direct with him then invited him to leave. I'm not for sale, neither is my support.
If I was somebody working private sector and I felt like my job security rested on voting a specific way I'd feel incredibly angry about that. I'd for sure feel that in order to protect my job--when they are not easy to find--I'd have to think long and hard about how I was gonna vote. In reality, the boss has no way to know how you vote once you get into that voting booth, but that is not something a lot of people are gonna stop to think about if they are faced with that situation. It's a bad thing to face, and if anything, it does more to illustrate just HOW corrupted and evil some of these folks are. I saw the article last night where they were talking about Romney being ON TAPE(!) talking about leaning on employees to vote a certain way. Pure corruption of the system, IMO. Laura |

83. Actually, I think they will regret their stance
|
I think most people will tell them what they want to hear and then doing what they were going to do regardless.
Very few people really love their boss, especially in large corporations, and I suspect ordering people under threat to vote a certain way is more likely to backfire big time. If my lab manager ordered me to vote for Romney, I'd be more certain than ever to vote for Obama. If they ordered me to vote for Obama, I might thinking Jill Stein just for spite, lol. In my last job, they told us on day one that political discussion was out. That verboten lasted exactly 1 day. Our trainer on day 2 was a Massachusetts libertarian and she could not *wait* to openly and blatantly start bashing Obama, when we were supposed to be getting training. Day 3, a second trainer followed suit. Only one new hire joined in the Obama bashing, and he was already hard right. The rest of us sat in stunned, hard, angry silence at her attacks on our newly elected President. I know that 2 of us were pro-Obama; I don't know the politics of the other 12 (but it is a "mixed" area that was roughly 50/50 per signs anyway). By day 4, either management got complaints or they noticed they were hardening us the "wrong" (in their opinion) way, gave it up and stfu. |

I'm really confused. They are up to their tricks. It's a shame, the only way they can win is cheat, steal or confuse. What scares me is people that don't see this. They are still playing the game, our side against yours. They've been taught to hate us for years. The only hope I have with this, is that more and more people are questioning their party, I know my sister is starting to see the light. The tea party has helped this. But I don't know if they will steal it and like you say, I cannot fathom a Romney presidency. I just don't see it. But don't want to wake up in that world one day.
