Pat Robertson should rename his church, I think.

He was surprised that Romney didn't win the election, since he's sure his deity told him so. Trouble is, Robertson's been talking to the wrong deity all along. Given that, he should rename his church to "The First Church of Mammon." He's been confused for years, I'm sure.

by Satan - who, it is written, deceives people, works counterfeit miracles, appoints false prophets and misuses scripture.

Since I'm not a believer, I'm more inclined to say ol' Pat is a bigoted old fuck who uses a twisted version of Christianity to scare people and make money.

Truly.

However, one deity is as good as another, so it still could be Mammon.

It's a con-game calling itself a church as a tax dodge. Plain and simple. Why is it that anything that calls itself a ""Church" gets tax free status without having the requirement of an overseeing board of directors and having to file a public annual report? That is how all other non-profits operate, and it works just fine. If this law was changed, do you really think many of the "churches" that are such cash cows and so politically active would really pass muster as true non-profits?

" Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets, and the LORD has spoken evil against you."

That particular spirit has had a lot of truck with the Pat.
