It is being reported that customs officials in Como (Swiss/Italian border) have seized

a previously unknown Dead Sea Scroll. IMHO it is reasonably unlikely to be so, or if so to be a real scroll, but it seems worth mentioning. There have always been rumors to the effect that there are several DSS manuscripts in private hands, in particular a copy of the Great Isaiah Scroll, which is probably true.
