Ricky Gervais makes fun of Caitlyn Jenner, everyone else in Golden Globes monologue

For weeks, Ricky Gervais has been threatening to do what he does best. No, not constantly remind everyone that he’s an atheist. That’s what his Twitter account is for.

No, instead we’re talking about Gervais continuing the thread of roasting celebrities during his Golden Globes monologue. On Twitter, he teased his supposedly take no prisoners commentary as if he is the first person to ever think to make fun of a celebrity in a public setting.

Watch out, pearl clutchers, Gervais is gonna tell it like it is in a series of jokes that will clearly be approved by the Golden Globes before he steps onto the stage. He’s gonna point out that awards are bought, celebrities are vapid, and that people in show biz are out of touch with reality. You know, all the fresh takes that haven’t been evident to literally every carbon-based life form since Hollywood was invented.

And that’s exactly what he did at the opening of Sunday’s 2016 Golden Globes broadcast.
