Donald Trump dodged two questions about the Bible

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/donald-trump-just-dodged-two-213618960.html

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump recently called the Bible his "favorite book" while on the campaign trail, but he apparently doesn't wanted to discuss it in interviews. Trump was asked to name "one or two of your most favorite Bible verses" during an interview on Bloomberg's television show "With All Due Respect" Wednesday. He wouldn't answer the question.

---------------

Brings to mind a passage from "Tom Sawyer":

(Judge Thatcher to Tom Sawyer) ... And now you wouldn't mind telling me and this lady some of the things you've learned— no, I know you wouldn't— for we are proud of little boys that learn. Now, no doubt you know the names of all the twelve disciples. Won't you tell us the names of the first two that were appointed?"

Tom was tugging at a button-hole and looking sheepish. He blushed, now, and his eyes fell. Mr. Walters' heart sank within him. He said to himself, it is not possible that the boy can answer the simplest question— why did the Judge ask him? Yet he felt obliged to speak up and say:

"Answer the gentleman, Thomas— don't be afraid."

Tom still hung fire.

"Now I know you'll tell me," said the lady. "The names of the first two disciples were—"

"David and Goliath!"

Let us draw the curtain of charity over the rest of the scene.

1. I think it is even odds Trump would burn if he ever touched a Bible...which I doubt he has.

I get a great chuckle just thinking of how the Cruz's and Huckabee's of the GOP, the list is endless, have seen themselves as the leaders of their political and relgious sheeple.....only to see a wolf in sheeple's clothing come along - as unpious openly as they are secretly - so easily lead their flocks away....as if the flock did not really give a shit about religion in the first place!

Because all the naive, gullible herd they thought they had corralled, what this deeply disturbed herd really wanted all along was a motor-mouth sheep herder that spoke their sheeple language.

Being genuine about the bleeting was never an issue.

so therefore they must be atheists, right?

Do you realize the inherent bigotry in that position?

I wish someone would ask what is his favorite verse. Or the particular book he finds most inspirational in the New Testament.

Next time I hope they try: "Other than the Bible, can you name a book that does not have your name on it?"

Fill in the blank. There are tons of examples. That's all he does - spout stream of consciousness garbage and change the topic whenever any of his bullshit is questioned.

I bet it's even harder for a man riding an elephant.
