Related: About this forumWas Satan's role in Job the worst thing he can be accused of?
And how does that compare, on a scale of evil, with the episodes of mass slaughter of innocents committed by Yahweh?

(22,340 posts)You post something and anybody can reply to it. It's the beauty of the Internets. But I'll be sure to hold you to your standard in the future. Because I'm sure you don't ever respond to anybody that hasn't first responded to you. FFS.

(82,333 posts)Was it the royal we?
The "we" that meekly rises from the back of a throng?
Or did you just take it upon yourself to speak for other posters?
Goblinmonger
(22,340 posts)that was (poorly) locked?
If Warren wants to let me know I spoke incorrectly he is more than capable and welcome to do so. I'm sure he knows I can handle a little criticism. Unlike some other who get a thread locked when they make stupid comments in that thread.

(22,340 posts)because why actually talk about the uncomfortable (for you) issues that the discussion raises when you can, instead, bring up the smoke and mirrors and make it about something else. I give you points for your consistency.

(22,340 posts)But since yours is "grammar," I'm wondering what the everlovingfuck this means:
What am I supposed to do to my bag? And why are you even talking about my bag? That seems kind of inappropriate.
Or are you practicing your Spanish now?
Because it couldn't just be a casual mistake because you go out of your way to point out when I do that.

Apparently two posters agreeing on something is now suspect.

Warren Stupidity
(48,181 posts)of Satan doing anything, let alone anything evil. The one place where Satan performs outright evil acts is Job, and he does so with crazy-ass Yahweh's blessings. Meanwhile, there is the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, child sacrifice, the Egyptian genocide, wholesale slaughter of non-Jewish tribes, death for ark infractions, etc. all done by the burning-bush guy or at the urging of the Master of the Firmament.

(4,522 posts)What if Satan was the one that actually wrote the bible. And it's all just a trick to get us to worship power and evil? Would be something to expect of a world class devil right?
I mean how do you account for all of the violence, war, mass murder etc? Yeah, there's some "soft" stuff in there just to make it palatable - but its a pretty evil drink if you swallow it all.

(14,177 posts)it would be the most evil thing ever get a bunch of souls to follow you then betray them. But, is it really a betrayal some stuff that God asked his followers to do was really evil like genocide, so they deserve the betrayal for going along with the evil things.

(11,619 posts)The real substance of the story is what passed between Job and the Whirlwind.
So that would make Satan like the Nazi who was just following orders.
