Is this the place for gun porn?

I'm not going to wade though a nearly 300 post meta thread to find out but I thought of DU when I saw this.

1. Can you use it for hunting or target shooting?

2. Home defense at one of Romney's houses.

Scope and bipod are a giveaway. When you are shooting somebody in your living room 100 feet away you need magnification and stabilization.

3. Get out of my goddamn car elevator, you varmint!

You see that wall between the "right wing" and the "garage" - Romney needs to punch through it like a couple of Cadillacs!

5. This is the right place, currently.

However, some text to start the discussion would be nice instead of just pics.

8. I found it on a tumblr page that linked back to imgur

there was no text.

I think it's a completely custom rifle.

9. Looks like it came from here - more description

I don't have a clue what "SOP" means either, but maybe it's "stand-off projectile" or "special operations"?

11. The cartridge in the OP is called the "14.9mm SOP"

What happens when you take a 30-06 Springfield cartridge and neck it down to .270″? You get a new cartridge called the 270 Winchester, both great cartridges with different uses. Now imagine taking a 20mm Vulcan case and necking it down to 14.9mm. Put a super aerodynamic bullet in it and you have a new Ultra Long Range cartridge. That is the heart of the 14.9 SOP, to reach out past 2000 yards for interdiction of targets beyond the range of existing rifle systems.

I thought that's what the other poster was referring to - but it's always good to have the DU meaning as well...

15. Not really I just love 45's and sigs

This seems like a match made in heaven.

Everything I love about the 1911 without the grip safety, and no beavertail.

16. Mine was the P220 Elite SAO, so it unfortunately had the beaver tail,

but I liked it because I have stupid large hands and it kept me from getting bit by the slide. It looked just like the one in the picture, but with a beaver tail.

24. Can civilians by the weapon in his right hand?

I'm a little ignorant about guns, so I'm curious to know if the gun in that guy's right hand can be purchased by a civilian.

Based on the photo and discussion in this thread, I gather it's an anti-armored vehicle weapon.
