Every time I look up, they're losing and are now 2½ behind the first place Clippers (now there's something that has a strange ring to it).

Bynum may or may not show up, Pau has off nights and gets muscled in the point, and then you're talking about Metta World Peace, Derek Fisher, Steve Blake, Matt Barnes and so on and it's just not a deep or dynamic night. Kobe has to score like 35 points for them to win.

They should have focused on getting rid of Bynum the Clown.

"They should have focused on getting rid of Bynum the Clown"

I agree. I also look at him as an accident, waiting to happen. And Gasol...SO inconsistent.

I personally think that 99% are tired. "King" Buss should have begun some serious work on getting a new crop of players...Barnes makes me nuts...Metta Who's It's, over him...

Bryant is still good and I would say the glue...but he's aging. Period. Fish has hot and cold nights, Blake hot and cold...I just think
that they have an odd lineup of names and on/off talent.

GEE, I wonder if the "King" Buss agreement with Comcast, for exclusive broadcast rights (supposed to start next season), where there will be NO free games broadcast (as in KCAL 9 and I guess TNT/ESPN)...they were all supposed to be pay per view and/or buy a package deal from Comcast. NOW that the Lakers suck, wonder if that will continue to happen. Anyone?

Odom severely declined. I think a few are under valuing the impact of the schedule. If I had some money to gamble I definately would be betting against teams on the second night of a back-to-back and 3+ game road trips.

Most teams are losing in similar situations. Lakers actually won a game in Boston when the odds were against them, then to play a game in NYC the very next night it isn't a surprise they lost.

One team I'm impressed with is Oklahoma City who are recently playing a lot of road games, I wasn't surprised they lost to the Kings considering it was their 5th game in 6 nights. Impressive that they were able to defeat Utah last night.
