Some people actually think Tiger Woods hit three balls into the water on purpose

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/05/tiger-woods-hit-three-balls-into-water-video

Tiger Woods made an appearance for Monday’s media day for the annual PGA Tour event that he hosts, the Quicken Loans National, and things didn’t go as planned.

Trying to hit a handful of wedge shots into one of the course’s par-3s, he dropped three golf balls into the water.

It really was sad to watch, especially if you’re a Tiger fan. So sad that some resorted to what was essentially a conspiracy theory. Thanks to @NoLayingUp (who’s a fantastic follow on Twitter if you haven’t figured that out already) for compiling the responses.

Let’s be clear: Tiger did not do this on purpose. Any rational golf fan would recognize those three bad shots extended from a combination of a few different things: That Tiger Woods is still nursing an injury that hasn’t fully healed, that he didn’t warm up (that was his excuse), and that he’s still rusty from little practice over the past year.
