Bradford, Foles to swap teams

The St. Louis Rams are close to trading quarterback Sam Bradford to the Philadelphia Eagles for quarterback Nick Foles, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The deal is also expected to feature draft-pick compensation heading to the Rams.

Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft, has not played in a regular-season game since his 2013 season ended with a torn ACL. He was on track to start at quarterback for the Rams in 2014 before suffering a second torn left ACL in the preseason.

Like Bradford, Foles ended the 2014 season on the sideline due to injury. Foles suffered a broken collarbone in a Nov. 2 win over the Texans and was replaced by Mark Sanchez, who recently re-signed with Philadelphia.

but he now appears to be headed to the Dolts. I will now have to switch to hating him with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns.

I didn't read that but I saw a headline somewhere where he was having "second thoughts."

I think he'll be out of the league in 3 years.

I know he's hated around these parts, but the most successful coach in the last 15 years is a guy without a system. He changes the system to fit the players not the other way around.

They have a philosophy, but not a system. The threw the ball all over the yard one year, and they had interchangable running backs and a short passing game this year. The defense is not the same style every year. They have Reavis, they play more press coverage. Other years they played multiple zone looks. Sometimes they rely on pass rush up front, other years they blitzed like there was no risk involved.

Kelly is convinced he's more important than the talent. That's unlikely to work.

Or, I should say, I had no opinion until this trade...makes no sense.
