Seahawks' Doug Baldwin apologizes for crappy Super Bowl celebration

Wide receiver Doug Baldwin made himself one of the ugly elements of the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl XLIX loss when he scored a touchdown and decided he ought to pretend to defecate on the football.

For that classy display, Baldwin was penalized 15 yards, fined $11,025 and received some well-earned scorn on the Internet for his action. Long live spiking the football.

Baldwin hasn't been apologetic about much, known for speaking his mind on a variety of topics, but he did take time to apologize for that single act on Monday when he joined 710 ESPN's "The Barbershop" show.

“I do regret the fact that it cost my team 15 yards, and to the fans, ultimately, I apologize to anybody who I offended in any way,” Baldwin said. “It was a competitive situation. So to all the 12s [Seahawks fans], all the fans, that’s not what it’s about. So I apologize to anyone if I offended you.

"In that moment it was just a reaction, and if I could go back, I would take it back,"

Classic "non-apology" apology, and I doubt it was a reaction to the moment...he planned on doing that for some time. Tool.

You know, his actions make Marshawn Lynch's crotch-grabbing positively virginal.
