On the news I heard that he claimed he had just gotten tired of watching the game. Then why did he not tell his family he wanted to leave the game? Why did he not call his family to let them know where he was, or where he went?

perfectly healthy and the story seemingly has a happy ending, so why am I kind of mad at him?
Look, I know I SHOULDN'T be mad at him, and there could certainly be more to the story than what is reported, but if it's accurate and this guy just decided to wander off for days without telling anyone, I can't help but think he's kind of an asshole.
