I'm a Husker fan by marriage. My late father-in-law played on the 1941 team before enlisting in the Army. So I follow the team, in his honor. Didn't win a National Championship? Off with the coach's head. I hear it every year.
Folks take college football way too seriously.

after calling a play that resulted in the loss of a big game. But there was one exception: He got an envelope bearing only a stamp and "That Dumb Idiot (Coach's Name)" -- and the post office knew EXACTLY where to send it!
