If by some strange twist of fate you happen to be at Dodger Stadium tomorrow...
Look for the Lady in the electric blue wig. She'll be in the Stadium Club before the game having lunch, and in Section 130 in the Loge during the game.
Wear a blue wig! Honest... Before we moved Up The Hill in '07, we had season tickets for a few years, and Stadium Club passes when they were required. We went to probably 60 games every year, and gave the rest of the tickets to friends or family members. She almost always wore the wig, jersey, and cap... we almost never paid for parking. Ushers and people at the gates didn't even ask us for our tickets. Tommy bought us dinner and drinks a few times and signed her jersey, and even invited us to his table once. Ron Cey, Davey Lopes, Garvey, and yes, even Sandy came to HER and said "let me sign your jersey".
There were a few times when we were pressed for time and she didn't wear the wig. The difference was like night and day... people who KNEW her would look right over her head (she's only 5'2"
like she wasn't even there! Yeah well...
Tomorrow she's wearin' the wig. We haven't been to a game in almost three years, but I'm betting there will be SOMEONE who will recognize her.
Me? I'm just the supporting cast.
It's gonna be fun.
