Submitted by Don Traxler

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Quarterback Zac Dysert became the Miami RedHawks' career passing leader with a 13-yard completion to Nick Harwell at the 5:34 mark of the third quarter. He passed Ben Roethlisberger, who tallied 10,829 yards from 2001-03. "Big Ben" played in 38 career games for RedHawks while Saturday marked Dysert's 43rd appearance over the last four years.

Patrick Clarke kicked a 47-yard field goal as time expired to give Buffalo the 27-24 win. Dysert had led the RedHawks down the field and completed a 5-yard touchdown pass to Nick Harwell to tie the game at 24 with 23 seconds remaining. The RedHawks are now 4-5 (3-2 in the MAC) for the season. With 242 passing yards, Dysert moved up 11 spots to 41st on the NCAA's FBS career passing chart. In addition to Roethlisberger, he climbed ahead of Danny Wuerffel (Florida/1993-96) and Drew Brees (Purdue/1997-2000) among others. Dysert's current total of 10,997 yards passing ranks sixth in Mid American Conference history.

The RedHawks entertain Kent State Saturday at Yager Stadium in Oxford with the game starting at 1:00 p.m.
