49ers Dashon Goldson lays out Early Doucet..Last edited Tue Oct 30, 2012, 10:38 AM USA/ET - Edit history (2)

These two have a history stemming from last year in which they exchanged punches but only Goldson got thrown out. So, I'm sure applying that hit felt good to him...

2. Making fun of an injured player?
|
Perhaps you could do me a favor and point out exactly where that occurred. Wouldn't be the first time that little imagination of yours got carried away. Which reminds me, beat up anymore bullies lately?
Goldson's good clean hit is an example of how physical defensive football can be played in the secondary without head hunting.. Too bad you don't get it, but then you don't get a lot of things.. |

Then stop watching the NFL.. It was a legal hit. Doucet got up and walked off the field. Grow up..not for the first time you're acting ridiculous. All is not lost though..you've continue your pattern of being great entertainment.. |

Last edited Tue Oct 30, 2012, 05:30 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) I see no evidence of laughing or making fun of anyone. I'm also not sure you can classify Doucet as injured as he got up on his power and returned to the game and by all accounts is OK. It did take him a minute to get up but look at the hit. If that is an injury, anyone who played in the game that is sitting in an ice tub is injured.
I just think he is admiring the tackle which much of the sports world is doing as that is the most talked about play from the game. I think pretty much most fans enjoy tackles like this. I remember fans enjoyed seeing Vick taking hits in the Cardinals game but for me, it was very brutal. Hit over 20 times, it was tough to watch but I enjoyed the Cardinals D players getting to him and making a positive play out of it. |

7. We'll have to see what Upton thinks when someone on the opposing D knocks out one of his 49ers.
|
Will Upton be consistent?

9. NFL speaks out on Goldson's hit..
|
Safety Dashon Goldson's flattening of Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Early Doucet was a legal hit, the NFL confirmed Friday.
Goldson was not penalized during the game, and the NFL announced he would not be fined, either. That outcome did not come as a surprise to 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh or Goldson. "Vince Lombardi would be proud," Harbaugh said Monday night after the 49ers' 24-3 victory over the Cardinals. http://www.csnbayarea.com/football-san-francisco-niners/niners-talk/NFL-Goldson-hit-on-Doucet-was-legal?blockID=797153&feedID=2800 |

Celebrating a helmet to helmet hit in the middle of a concussion epidemic in the NFL?? That's lower than cboy4's IQ which is saying something.
btw, why is a banned poster allowed back on here with essentially the same name? Mods? |

11. If you had watched the video or the game..
|
you would know it wasn't helmet to helmet. Similarly, if you had read the post directly above yours, you would know the NFL deemed the hit perfectly legal. Doucet got up and off the field on his own power and isn't even on the injury report for this week.
I suppose you're just screwing around, but thanks for the opportunity to clarify the facts one more time nonetheless.. |

12. I did watch the game
|
I watch most of the niner games because....that's pretty much all they show where I live
It certainly looked helmet to helmet to me. And even if it's not it is still disgusting to celebrate brutal hits. The fact that cboy, the most annoying wanker ever to be on this forum, should wake you up to the fact that you are off base. Y'know it's possible to root for your teams without being a hopeless homer and apologist for the dirty players on your teams. At least I disavow the scumbags (like McGwire, Canseco, Manny, etc.) on my teams. I'm keepin' it real, y'all. |
