1. I heard that the Vick benching is a go.

So they're going to go to their backup, whoever that is.

3. I didn't pay much attention, but I guess their backup was in yesterday

And was the one who made the game reasonably close...so it probably will happen...$100 million down the drain for Philly.

5. The rascist connotations of the term "Murderous Thug" are disturbing

Perhaps you want to think of what you would call a white man convicted of a similar crime and use that instead.

6. Unless someone actually IS a murderous thug

which is what we have in Vick's case.

7. I'd call him the same thing...he's a thug and a murderer...

And if you get an account here simply to try and apologize for the socoiopath, you need to get a better hobby.

17. Yes. But that doesn't mean the hatred isn't amplified by rascism

I don't think Vick would have faced the same backlash if he was white.

And when I hear "Thug" I think of Gangsta Rap. So you can understand how I made the connection.

8. I think that's a bit harsh. Tebow himself isn't a bad kid, IMO.

He's ridiculously overrated as a player because the rabid right wing is in love with him for doing an anti-abortion commercial, but it isn't his fault people worship him.

I have to admit I'm laughing my ass off over New York picking him up. I knew one loss with Sanchez at the helm would incite the Tebow crazies like it did in Denver with Orton last year. It's nice to have a real QB for a change, but Orton beat the snot out of Tebow.

14. Well, if Dan Snyder did not oppose wind power, we would be exporting energy here.
