The Stockton Ports in the California League were at the time a class A farm team of the Orioles. In 1963, I saw Paul Blair and Wally Bunker play before they were in the majors. Bunker, in fact, jumped straight from the Ports to the Orioles, where he won 19 games the following year.

In the fourth and final game of the 1966 World Series, the O's beat the Dodgers, 1-0, behind a complete game shut out by Bunker and a home run by Blair. They made Stockton proud that day.
