Why was Tim Duncan left off the 92 Dream Team?

Sure, Karl Malone had gaudy stats but Duncan kicks his ass in the only stat that matters: Number of championship rings.

Duncan's the Russell of his era: Someone who does all the little things right to insure his team wins.

Can someone give me one good reason he was snubbed from the team? Other than the fact that he wasn't really needed? Hell, at the time all the Dream Team needed was Jordan.

The Virgin Islands is a separate "nation" according to the IOC. He's not from the US mainland.
