Phillies IF Freddy Galvis suspended 50 games for positive test

Philadelphia Phillies infielder Freddy Galvis has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a metabolite of Clostebol, the MLB Commissioner’s Office announced today. Clostebol is classified as a anabolic steriod. MLB said that Galvis is in direct violation of the league’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Galvis’ suspension is effective immediately. Galvis, a 22-year-old switch hitter, has played in 58 games this season, hitting .226 with three home runs and 24 RBI.

“I’d like to apologize to my all my fans, especially here in Philadelphia and back home in Venezuela, to my teammates and to the Phillies organization,” Galvis said. “I am looking forward to putting this behind me, rehabilitating my back and returning to the Phillies as soon as possible to try to help them win another World Series.”

I am watching Rachel Maddow and she is showing the "leader" of the National Gun Roider Association. Those are the true roiders. Actually fucking scary.
