Masseuse Died After Collapsing at Bosh’s Home on Monday, Police Say

Hours before making his celebrated return to the Miami Heat rotation, Chris Bosh was shaken by the death of his massage therapist, who collapsed at his home Monday before dying at a hospital.

The woman’s identity was not immediately released by the police, and details were scarce.

According to a police report, the woman “appeared to be well and in good spirits” when she arrived at Bosh’s home on Monday morning but then “suddenly lost consciousness.” A Miami fire rescue team treated her at the scene and then transported her to Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 11:45 p.m.

Detective Vivian Hernandez, a public information officer for the Miami Beach police, said foul play was not suspected, “but there’s no cause of death.” Hernandez said she did not know if Bosh was at the home when the woman collapsed.
