6. He didn't lay up

he hit the same club as before and it carried to the green according to Oost. It just didn't carry as far. There are a couple of reasons why this could happen. He might have been 1 mph slower in swing speed or the more likely scenario was the sun was going down and the simple explanation is the temperature could have lost just a couple of degrees or the sun was not heating the air as it was going down and that could affect how long the ball goes. Hit a ball in the middle of the afternoon and one on the verge of sunset and I bet you lose 5-7 yards.

But I was fascinated by the last few holes and the sudden-death.
