This is an open invitation to all who would like to participate in a fiction book discussion here:

**One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd By: Jim Fergus**
Link: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12554846

It is just a light summer fiction read ( not Feminism).

If you would like to join in please feel free to do so. If not, that's fine also.

Just wanted to extend the invitation. LS

we briefly had a "book club" that did (IIRC) "The Handmaids Tale", "A Confederacy of Dunces" and maybe "The Grapes of Wrath" (its been years and my memory sucks). Serious book discussions are a personal favorite of mine that I rarely get to indulge in. Please follow up when you have a definite date.

The conversation thread is already up and people can join in at their own pace, whenever they have finished reading a chapter. We'd love to have you join in the conversation.

What I can't promise is, just how serious our conversation will be, some of us like to talk silly stiff now and again.

Here's the link again, just read and then join in at any point.
