Another person of color killed by the police yesterday in my area.

(I posted this in General Discussion but there are no comments and I don't want it to fall through the cracks)

SANFORD, N.C. — A man died Wednesday afternoon after he was shot by a Sanford police officer inside a home in the 600 block of Magnolia Street.
Family members identified the victim as Travis Faison, 24.
For hours after the mid-afternoon shooting, relatives stood outside police crime scene tape awaiting any information from authorities.
"They are trying to keep it down, because the police did it," said Tyrone Bell, a cousin.

When I got here there were three cops surrounding my house saying that they had came in here because somebody was running through the woods that they were looking for that had (committed) a robbery," he said. "When they got here they had shot my cousin dead
."

How did they confuse a suspect running through the woods with a man in the comfort of his own home?

They don't make sense.

But I'm pretty sure, someone will hurry along to explain how the Cops outside were there for a different reason from the cops inside the house.

Because Cops don't have radios ...

My friend told me this happened around 3:30 pm yesterday and they didn't remove the man's body until way after dark. I guess they were still investigating. The victim's mother lives in Virginia and she got to her son's house in an hour and a half! She had to have been driving around 90 mph to get here that quick.
