New lineup for KNEW (former Green 960) moves Thom Hartmann to 10pm!Last edited Thu Dec 22, 2011, 12:42 PM USA/ET - Edit history (3)
http://www.rbr.com/radio/radio-programming/cc-radio-announces-new-talk-lineups-on-960-910-am.html
KNEW’s daily M-F lineup, as of 1/3: 6-9 a.m. Glenn Beck 9 a.m.-noon Dave Ramsey noon-3 p.m. Randi Rhodes 3-6 p.m. Norman Goldman 6-7 p.m. Market Wrap 7-10 p.m. The Stephanie Miller Show 10 p.m.-1 a.m. Thom Hartmann Mike Malloy announced recently that KNEW will play his show at 1am. And it appears that Bill Press won't be heard in the Bay Area anymore. The Ramsey show being played over Thom's live timeslot will be from the previous day because the financial advice show actually is live 10am-1pm. Playing Beck as Hartmann's lead-in would've really made an interesting contrast. And if KNEW played Ramsey right after the Market Wrap show not only would one hear the show on same day delay, the station offers a solid block of finance related programs AND 12 straight hours of LIVE talk shows from 6am (Beck) to 6pm (Goldman). As someone else suggested in an earlier thread, Clear Channel feels uncomfortable with Thom, and this may be an attempt to lower his ratings. Here is the non commercial video stream of Thom show, and I prefer this over the commercial radio to listen to Thom: livestream.com/thomhartmann In fact if you listen to hour 1 on noncom radio (I use MAIN FM from Asheville, NC) instead of on livestream M-Th, you can hear Workers Independent News segments on the :15/:45 breaks while the video plays highlights from Thom's evening TV show. Radio streams have a minutelong delay from livestream, though.

And a schedule I saw put Bill Press in the live 3-6A slot. As for the rest of the schedule, I get the feeling Beck won't last in morning drive. I also get the feeling within a few months, most of the schedule will revert back to the way it was on KKGN. They're not going to get ratings with this lineup. As for the Hartmann theory, I doubt that's true. If it were, they would have dropped him for Ed Schultz years ago. And remember, Hartmann collected a paycheck from Clear Channel for many years by way of KPOJ. He is still on many of their progtalkers. Finally, that TBA on the new 910 will be filled by... Limbaugh! |

And this is the poster who inspired my idea about Hartmann. But if Press really will still be on live 3AM-6AM, that means the tape-delayed Mike Malloy will be only 2 of the 3 hours. |

4. Beck
|
So far it seems beck is secure in his spot - but he doesn't belong here anymore than rush would - would it be possible to get John Rothmann on 960? Or I'd love to see The Fox Tolkien Alan colmes off the air and put Rothmann in his spot -

6. I heard the Beck ratings are down 90% from the Stephanie Miller ratings.

I get the Stephanie Miller pod cast, and you couldn't pay me to listen to Beck. KNEW and Clear channel can go to hell. |

3. 960 changes

I am new to the search for radio worth the listening- I'm still in grief over losing John Rothmann on KGO - I am happy to have discovered Stephanie miller, thom Hartman and randi Rhodes - I am thinking it might be best to jst pay for the podcasts as these shows don't suit my schedule - mike Malloy seems good too - what are others doing? Buying podcasts? Using xm or seriius?
