As per the bill:

"Firearm" means any handgun, rifle, shotgun, machine gun,
automatic or semi-automatic rifle, or any gun, device or instrument
in the nature of a weapon from which may be fired or ejected any
solid projectable ball, slug, pellet, missile or bullet, or any gas,
vapor or other noxious thing, by means of a cartridge or shell or by
the action of an explosive or the igniting of flammable or explosive
substances. It shall also include, without limitation, any firearm
which is in the nature of an air gun, spring gun or pistol or other
weapon of a similar nature in which the propelling force is a spring,
elastic band, carbon dioxide, compressed or other gas or vapor, air
or compressed air, or is ignited by compressed air, and ejecting a
bullet or missile, including any polymer ball or pellet or metallic16
coated polymer ball or pellet, smaller than three-eighths of an inch
in diameter, with sufficient force to injure a person.

Here's a webpage which goes into excruciating detail about the penetration of various sizes of slingshot projectiles into ballistic gelatin (which is designed to simulate human flesh for these purposes).

In any case, I prefer a 1911A1 .45.

What can I say? I'm a traditionalist.

of course to be a real traditionalist you'd never have one with a rail. Ruins the pretty lines...

I realize their political side has a tendency to support the right, but then again their job is to assure second amendment rights something our side for some reason likes to deny.

I only wish our leadership would catch up with the times...being regressive on our most important right really hurts us at all levels of governement.

puts his signature on the bill if it passes. Might put a little tarnish on the rising star moniker. He endorsed Mittens and Mitt talks a good game on gun rights, but comes up lacking to put the talk into action. But then again, birds of a feather.

Won't it be wonderful in the Garden State when this law passes and crime will no longer be a problem. We will see. Why do I get the feeling that the same folks pushing this legislation are closely related to the ones who want to sell me a bridge?
