### The SoP of the Group is expanded ###

Hello all,

The recent discussions after the events of Newtown has highlighted some gaps in where discussions are to take place on DU. As Group Host I tried to respect the wishes of the Admins when they created the SoP of the Group and not let things stray too far from it.

After discussing this with the Admins over the past several days, the Admins indicated that the SoP was a guideline, and that they saw no problem with me expanding the SoP of the Group.

With this in mind, I'm going to add "gun politics" to the SoP, so it reads as follows:

Discuss gun control laws, gun politics, the Second Amendment, the use of firearms for self-defense, and the use of firearms to commit crime and violence.

I think this will expand the discussion in the Group by a fair amount.

understanding properly the issue at hand.

Seems thread locks are happening in GD, right?

so then it would behoove the GD hosts to lock it with a message to re-post here and the link to GC&RKBA.
