Police arrived at the scene to find two men with gunshot wounds. Both were sent to the hospital in critical condition where one of them later died.

An investigation revealed the alleged robbers approached two men in a parking lot at gunpoint and demanded their wallets and other valuables.

“The suspects found out they were at the wrong car and became a little agitated, pulled a pistol out and raised the pistol up,” said HPD Sgt. James Devereaux. “One of the complainants or victims had a Concealed Handgun License. He was able to obtain his pistol and defend himself and his friend.”

A witness said the third suspect managed to get away but not before he was hit by a passing car.

No charges are expected against the shoter but he was taken in for questioning.

No innocent bystanders hit. Driminal already has gun out, CHLer shoots two, appears to have restrained from shooting at the fleeing robber who gets hit by a car anyway. I guess he was running away too fast to look before he crossed traffic.

Once again, it just doesn't go according to the antis script. Maybe they need better scriptwriters.

SNIP
It happened at an apartment complex on Medfield near Dairy Ashford at about 10pm Tuesday. According to investigators, a 23-year-old man had arrived home from work and was talking to a neighbor in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Both men were then approached by three suspects, two of whom were armed with pistols. The suspects ordered both victims to give up their wallets, cell phones and keys to their vehicles.

Police say when the suspects saw the victims had little money, they threatened to kill them. One of the victims, a concealed handgun license holder, pulled out his own weapon and shot two of the suspects. The third suspect, described only as a black male, fled the scene in an unknown direction.

1. It's nice when the good guys come out on top.

We all carry hoping that day never comes, but sometimes it does. Go prepared my friends, refuse to be a willing victim.

2. This is a guns-as-solution-to-guns story.

Zero points awarded.

4. Yeah Shares, because there's no difference between an armed robber and their intended victims

Your phony "points" thing is really old, not to mention terminally stupid, since you can't see any difference between the law abiding and the criminals.

6. Here's what I saw: This crime was commenced with a gun.

So the story does nothing to support an argument for the desirability of guns in hands of the public.

Most stories posted here with accompanying applause fall flat for the same exact reason.

7. So you favor defenseless innocents

How many "points" did you award the five dead women at Lane Bryant?

No "gun as a solution to guns" there! Just five dead victims. Does the fact that the law didn't allow them to be armed make them more noble in your twisted mind?

Did they get more fucking "points" for dying without a gun in your fucked up world?

But I guess it's nice that somebody worries about those poor criminals and wants to reduce the risks they take.

9. The robbers should have killed the two men...

after all they were not properly prepared to be robbed as they did not have enough money to satisfy the criminals. For the victims to then shoot the robbers, well that was just rude.

Almost forgot...

Make them scarce. Not abundant.

14. Whoa that is a mean gun

Who the hell let it out of their site? Any person that owns a gun like that should at the very least keep it chained up. Some people are even calling for a ban on guns but as we all know it's how they are raised.

Now do you see how Idiotic it is to blame everything on guns? Anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that guns don't run out and start killing on their own or join up in wild packs they have a maniac pulling the trigger.

What you should have said.......

18. You are Shares United. You are a zombie.

You have been tombstoned at least once already. Your bullshit point system is as unwelcome as you are. You think that is is morally preferable for crime victims to roll over and die rather than defend themselves with firearms. Simply put, you place ideology ahead of human life.

Go away, zombie.

15. In reality...

...a place you should visit sometime, logic dictates an objective assessment and analysis as the first step in considering a problem.

From the article:
"An investigation revealed the alleged robbers approached two men in a parking lot at gunpoint and demanded their wallets and other valuables."

The above excerpt is the assessment. An analysis by most anyone old enough to read and write would conclude that the problem here is that a robbery/assault is in progress. We now have a perspective on the actual problem rather than a straw-man provided for some off topic interest. Pursuing a "solution' for the problem leads one to consider possible actions. Most generally there are only three possible responses to an immediate and close threat: submission, retreat and counterattack. Submission, while not a violent option, doesn't guarantee that violence will not be continued by those assailants who've already presented violence in this encounter. Often the objective of reducing the pool of witnesses is pursued to the death of the victims. Retreats from close proximity threats are impossible to coordinate and will often precipitate more violence from your assailants. If more than one victim is present, the slower reacting victim will be set upon by the assailants. Counterattack is favored by the FBI and others (Josh Sugarmann, for one) who advocate self-defense with a weapon noting that the more deadly the weapon the better the victims generally fair.

A logical and carefully considered reaction to the situation dictates only one course most safe for all victims. That course is to shoot and kill the bastards.

3. There would be no similar story coming out of Illinois. Either (1) there are no armed robbers or (2)

Illinois does not allow law-abiding citizens to be CCWers.

Good for Texans who are able to defend themselves.

title as a one-armed robber (a robber with one arm) and I thought, what an unfair fight!

17. This story is impossible. And it couldn't happen. And it's false.

The bad guys always win; the reckless cowboys who have the temerity to defend themselves with guns always shoot bystanders.

Guns make everything worse. (Except for guns in the the hands of police officers, state agents, and armored truck personnel--or movie stars, celebrities, politicians, billionaires, and their bodyguards.)
