LOUISIANA: Voters approve pro-concealed carry Amendment to State Constitution.
http://www.necn.com/11/12/12/Analysis-Louisiana-voters-back-guns-term/landing_nation.html?&apID=9647b08f1d3c419bb88e96094e36dddb
Most of the article talks about other stuff. In the midst of it I saw this: —Louisiana residents are fiercely protective of their right to bear arms. Voters overwhelmingly agreed to set a tougher standard for restricting the use of weapons and to remove a provision that gives the Legislature explicit authority to limit concealed handguns. The constitutional amendment won support from 73 percent of voters. Expect it to be a model that the NRA will push in other states. I found this description of the Amendment: The amendment adds terminology to the State Constitution that says possessing a weapon is a fundamental right in Louisiana and any restriction must pass a “strict scrutiny” judicial review. Also, the amendment removes, from the Constitution, the Legislature's authority to pass laws restricting the right to carry a concealed weapon.
The pro-gun victories keep piling up. Frontlash - Yeah!

2. Hyperventilate much?

There are a few other key differences between us.
Also in Afghanistan no one cares about handguns. You aren't cool in the 'ghan without at least an RPG. |

3. How dare all those stupid voters disagree with you!
|
They probably just need your firm handed guidance to tell them what's in their own best interests.
Perhaps you could set up re-education camps for the misguided 73% that got it "wrong"? IIRC Ft. Polk was particularly mosquito infested and would be perfect as a starting point for people that think like you do. Still can't get it through your head that this is not just a "Con" issue, can you? But if you actually think 73% of the Louisiana voters are GOP, you have other issues to deal with in therapy. Good luck with that. |

6. Your post would be funny

if it weren't so f*cking pathetic.
We are nowhere near Afghanistan, crime is falling in the country, 49 of 50 states have some form of CC and the last holdout will fall soon, gun rights are on the march. |

7. Perhaps you can unpack and elaborate on that for us?

How are we "move(ing)... closer and closer to being Afghanistan."?

4. I would guess...
|
...that some of this has to do with abuses of power during and after Katrina. Taken a position in favor of rights is a good thing.

5. 16 points of that 73 voted for Obama.
|
When a measure passes by almost 3 to 1 it has bipartisan support from the populace.
Gun controllers are losing. Live with it. |
