And when this OP decides to drag the issue to Meta, at least one of those blocked posters will provide more evidence.

Nothing like listening to someone that's already been banned at least once from DU, for sage advice.

Go up to Meta and join the chorus of three or four whining there. You can be the tenor, the harmony will be lovely.

But for advocating for a third party in a moment of frustration with the president. I understand the reason for that rule and I will not do that again.

But to show up "again" and start demanding an immediate change in moderators is, at minimum, rude beyond belief.

But then again, based on the behavior of your fellow control oriented travelers, we don't really expect much else from your side of the discussion anyway.

Would you prefer an anti-gun person with a bias you approve of or do you actually know someone who is neutral on the subject, like Santa Claus?
We could do group votes but since this is a haven for RW trolls and everyone who is pro- is a secret NRA member I doubt that you would like that either.

There are plenty of anti- posters and posters here and only 4 people have been banned. I disagree with one (and it is not the one you would expect) but tough, life goes on. Everyone banned pretty much worked to get their dubious honor.

It seems the rules are simple. Be civil (mostly) try to discuss a point (at least once in a while) don't repeatedly accuse everyone who disagrees with you of being an extremist, and you can enjoy belonging to this wonderful, dysfunctional family

pro-RKBA Democrats can't at least find ways to discuss a single issue without resorting to ad hominem attacks then there is ho hope for governing a disparate, divided, polarized society like in these United States.

If that happens, then the Rule of Gold will prevail.

krispos is supported by pro-gun posters because they know he favors their point of view and will use anyu power at his disposal to be favorable to them.

As I mentioned, were I the omnipotent host, there is one anti who I would not have banned. I have no issue with the pro- who was.
Also I know there may have been some behind the scenes communications with the host and those banned. Not being privy to any such info, I will accept that the hosting is fair.


IIRC our host had a thread a while back discussing possible banning so this has not been a sudden arbitrary action.

krispos42 has a good knowledge of the subject matter and an even temperament. Those things matter. Ideological conformance to your point of view does not. It's perfectly understandable that someone who has strong feelings about a subject would serve as the host.

There are several regulars in this group who have markedly different viewpoints than those of the host. They are able to post here daily and not get their posts locked or hidden because they conform to the Statement of Purpose and the community standards.
