Heartwarming kidney donation story (2A-related) ...

The wife of Dick Heller (of Heller v District of Columbia fame) was apparently in need of a kidney transplant and on June 5 a member of the shooting community stepped up and they had a successful transplant surgery. I could not find a media link (it isn't really a national-interest story), but it's being widely discussed on the usual shooting forums if you care to look (I'm new to DU and not sure of the linking rules.)

Dick Heller is also the plaintiff in a follow-up case against D.C. (Heller II), and he and his foundation have plans for additional litigation to expand 2A rights. So, even beyond the feel-good value of this story, hopefully this positive outcome will allow Mr Heller to focus on and continue his work.
