Justice Scalia is Really Corrupting Justice Kagan

(NewsCore) - US Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan surprised a Wisconsin audience this week with news that she has recently taken to hunting with her ideological opposite, fellow justice Antonin Scalia.

"He's made a huntress out of me," Kagan revealed at a Marquette law school panel in Milwaukee on Tuesday.

The liberal justice revealed she and her ideological foe had shot quail and pheasant together and planned to hunt bigger game in the future.

"He insists I'm going to shoot myself an antelope," the New York City native said, adding that she had come to view hunting as "really good fun."

He might just convert her into a pro-gun justice yet...

2. I'm speechless

The only thing I can think of is I hope neither one went to the same hunting safety course as Cheney.

6. Scalia is braver than I am

there is no way I would be in the field with him or Palin.
Check at 2:27
Are caribou this dim or was it tethered in a canned hunt?

13. Looks free to move. They aren't too bright.

And in that area, they aren't often hunted at all, so not used to the danger humans present.

Curious what the hell she was doing, missing like that. Can't even work her own bolt? Seriously?

4. I'm betting on Madame Justice

to be the Cindy Loo Who, that will make Justice Grinch's heart grow three sizes some day.

Of course, that will bring his heart up to the size of the heart of a naked pygmy vole, but at least it is a move in the right direction.

8. And in the meantime, in the GD version of this thread...

We have most posters saying "Hunting? Yuck! Disgusting!" or "Hunting is just the leisure activity of the 1%!"

Sigh...

9. Well, let's hope Justice Kagan doesn't begin viewing shooting people as callously as Scalia.

10. I think they could both learn a lot from each other.

It's really cool seeing them cross their ideological divide and bond together, despite all their differences.

15. I'm stunned

If they are, we would both be pissed off. I'm of the "you kill it, you eat it" tradition. What I killed supplemented my mom's meager pay and food stamps. In other words, I would hunt elephants with a Nikon, not a Weatherby.

16. I'm not a vegetarian (yet)...

...and completely support and understand "you kill it, you eat it" so long as it consistent with the best principles of science/conservation. I am against most forms of canned hunting (exotic game is a separate question) as it's not IMHO sporting. That's a value judgment, but I'd tax to support conservation rather than prohibit.
